Literature Text

There was once a chance I didn't take when I didn't get on that space shuttle to Saturn. I think about it every now and then and now I realize, that the chances were against me surviving the trip to Saturn and back because it is very cold on the surface of Saturn and, at the time something would have caused me to get out of the space shuttle and walk in an ineffective space suit that could not have insulated me from the near absolute-zero temperatures. Or have helped me get my footing on the so-called surface of a gas planet. I only liked Saturn as a little kid because the rings made it look like something out of Looney Tunes.
So I am glad I didn't take the chance. I'm perfectly fine with the more moderate planets.
still have 4 minutes...
I could've went to Saturn two days after my 9th birthday, but it didn't happen. Besides, there's a lot cheaper exotic planetary fun beneath the surface of this Earth. None of the other planets have any discovered life short of theoretical bacteria that might be in frozen water in the moon or Mars. But our own Earth has Dinosaurs and Deadly Unicorns at the center of the Earth and is perfectly safe as long as you are not a pussy wussy. So I thoroughly regret turning down going on that trip.
This is something I had to write for Creative Writing class in ten minutes, starting with the sentence, "There was once a chance I didn't take..."
So I ended up with this.
